Golf Superintendents - Diseases

Turfgrasses are susceptible to disorders caused by infectious diseases.  The primary causes of disease are bacteria, viruses, fungi and nematodes. 

Proper diagnosis should be made as quickly as possible to avoid excessive damage to the turf.  Your local County Extension office can assist in proper identification. 

The chart listed below is meant to provide assistance in identification as well as the recommended cultural practices (mowing, irrigation, fertilization) to control or prevent the disease.
